Painting the Dynamic Portrait

Afraid of painting portraits, can’t get a likeness, how do I get that skin tone? Beginner to advanced students will learn from Copley Society Master Artist Matt Miller as he covers how to compose, light, and paint a portrait from life from start to finish in a direct style of painting. Matt will cover “getting the likeness”, layout, building form, geometry, value, color, edges, and beauty. Matt teaches in a solvent-free direct style and with demonstration and hands-on teaching will guide you to a greater understanding and mastery of the fine art of portrait painting.
